FREE Indoor Fish Camp

Washington Recreation Center - Jan. 20

Ice fishing is a unique Minnesota tradition, but to really have fun, it’s best to be prepared! To ensure kids are ready, the Faribault Parks and Recreation has put together a free indoor family event on Jan. 20, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Washington Recreation Center. This fun educational event introduces kids and adults to the world of ice fishing, offering tips and resources to make a venture out on the ice safer and more enjoyable! Mark your calendars for the family Winter Fish Camp!

Camp Pre-Registration

Registration not required, but the first 50 kids to pre-register before the day of the event receive FREE entry ticket to Outdoor News’ Deer and Turkey Classic. A valid email is required at registration. To pre-register, call Park & Rec at 334-2064, in person, or register online at www.faribault.org/parks. Meets at Washington Center Gym.

Volunteers Wanted!

This is a feel-good event -- participate as a volunteer and leave the event feeling like you made a difference! Many activities are offered that we need help with. Call 384-0516 if you would like to volunteer. Can’t make it to the event? See www.faribault.org to download a copy of the official Winter Fish Camp manual used at Fish Camp.

Donate Used or New Equipment

Do you have old ice fishing tackle to donate to a good cause? Here’s your chance to recycle your stuff and make kids happy! The donations will be used as prizes or as giveaways at the Winter Fish Camp. Donated equipment needs to be in new or useable condition.
