Historic Preservation

The Heritage Preservation Commission is responsible for the protection, enhancement, and promotion of the community's historical, architectural and cultural resources. The Commission, with the assistance of the Community Development Department, conducts design reviews; offers technical support on public and private projects affecting historically and architecturally significant properties; participates in selected economic and housing development efforts; and assists in countless education and outreach projects.

31st Annual Statewide Historic Preservation Conf. — 9/27/2011
The 31st Annual Statewide Historic Preservation Conference was held in Faribault on September 22-23, 2011. Conference venues included the Paradise Center for the Arts and The Loft at the Bachrach Building. Conference participants attended numerous educational sessions, networking events and tours during the conference.
