Utility Billing

The City of Faribault provides water and sewer services. Utility Billing account information can be obtained by contacting City Utility Billing at 507-333-0392 from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Residents are billed on a monthly basis for water, sewer and storm water utilities.

How to pay your water bill

By Mail

You may mail it to City of Faribault, 208 1ST Ave NW, Faribault, MN 55021. Or you may drop it off at City Hall on second floor, or by using the silver drop box located on the north side of the City Hall building (not the blue mailbox).

By Credit Card

As part of our commitment to provide citizens with efficient, convenient service, the City of Faribault in conjunction with Wells Fargo has partnered with Official Payments Corp to offer payment of utility bills over the Internet at www.officialpayments.com and by telephone by calling 1-877-309-3923.

Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit and debit cards are accepted. Official Payments Corp, the service provider, charges a convenience fee of $3.95 for payment processing.You will need your utility bill available to make a payment by credit card or to make a payment by telephone.

Automatic Payment Plan

Now you can pay your utility bill from your checking or savings account automatically – no checks to write, no stamps to buy or late payments. It's free, fast and easy to do.

Q. How do I sign up?
A. It's easy. Simply complete and return the authorization form (below) and include a voided check (for checking accounts) or deposit slip (for savings accounts).

Q. How soon will the Automatic Payment Plan start?
A. It usually begins the week after we receive your authorization. Please continue to pay your bill as usual until the message "Auto Withdrawal – Do Not Pay" appears on your bill.

Q. How can I be sure my bill has been paid?
A. Your monthly bank statement will clearly reflect the automatic payment, and your next billing will also include a debit for the amount of the billing on it. Payment will be posted on the due date listed on your bill.

Q. What if I have a question about my bill?
A. Simply call Utility Billing at 507-333-0392.

Q. Is there a charge for this service?
A. No. The City does not charge you for automatic payments.

Q. What if I change banks or accounts?
A. Just call us at 507-333-0392 and we will send you a new authorization form to complete.
