Picnic Shelters


Picnic shelters are available May 1 to September 30. Reservations begin March 1 on a first-come, first-served basis. To see which shelter are rented  please view the picnic shelters schedule.

Consumption & Keg Permits


Permits are required for all keg beer parties. Consumption permits are required in all Faribault parks except for North Alexander Park. No beer is allowed at Father Slevin Park, Kinder Park, or River Bend Nature Center.
  •     Keg permit: $30 per party / per day
  •     Consumption permit (canned beer): $20 per party / per day

Journey to 2040

As part of the City's planning process for, "Journey to 2040" -  a Community Vision that serves as a framework to help ensure the long-term success of the community and to articulated a vision of the community for the next 25-years - the City developed a Parks, Trail and Open Space Plan. 

This plan is a strategic road map for the future success of Faribault's parks, trails, and open spaces. it is the culmination of countless hours engaging the Faribault community about how the City's parks, trails, and open spaces can be improved for current and future generations.
