The City of Faribault has an opening for a Building Inspector. The Building Inspector performs a variety of routine and complex technical work to ensure compliance with the State Building Code, City’s zoning and sign ordinances, and other related codes and standards.
• Must meet the requirements set forth in MN Rules Chapter 1301 for a Combination Inspector.
• Possession of a valid Certified Building Official Certification within a year from the State of Minnesota.
• Two years of experience as building inspector in a municipal or other local government setting.
Applicants must submit a letter of interest, resume and complete a city application packet by Jan. 31. Application materials must be mailed or dropped off at the above address to be considered.
