The Faribault Fitness Club typically meets at the Washington Recreation Center, located at 117 Shumway Avenue, and offers a wide variety of classes. Intro to Faribault Fitness Club:

Welcome to Faribault's Premier Group Exercise Program. Faribault Fitness Club has often been labeled by others as the best kept secret in Faribault. We have been transforming body, mind, and spirit for nearly a decade. Our experienced instructors, unique fAn image of individuals in a Zumba class.itness programming and wide variety of fitness equipment are only a few of the things that make the Faribault Fitness Club program so unique. Our spacious Group X room and comfortable atmosphere makes getting fit a truly inspiring adventure for both women and men. Our classes are for beginners, intermediate or the more advanced fitness enthusiasts alike!

We offer a wide range of group classes, all skillfully designed and led, that target your unique needs. You will not be lost in a crowd. Our class sizes are limited and offered frequently, enabling our trainers to spend the time necessary to maximize results. New classes are being offered frequently.

Class descriptions

Zumba Toning®: This class will get your heart pounding and your feet moving to the energetic music of Zumba® while at the same time mix in strength training using hand weights or Zumba weights for a fun, fit, calorie burning class. Both Strength and cardio are featured in this total body workout.

Zumba®: Zumba® Fitness is a feel-happy workout that combines a motivating fusion of Latin and international music with unique moves and dynamic combinations that allow participants to dance away their worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be "Fun and Easy to Do" allowing Zumba® Fitness participants to stick to the program and achieve long-term health benefits in both body and mind. A mixture of body-sculpting movements with easy-to-follow dance steps, the routines utilize the principles of aerobic interval and resistance training. A combination of fast and slow rhythms tone and sculpt the body, maximizing caloric output, fat burning and total body toning.

Aqua Zumba®: Known as the Zumba® "pool party," Aqua Zumba® gives new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout. Splashing, stretching, twisting, laughing, hooting and hollering are often heard during an Aqua Zumba® class. Integrating the Zumba® formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, Aqua Zumba® blends it all together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that’s cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief.

STRONG by Zumba®: Strong by Zumba is a high intensity interval class — think burpees, pushups, and other high-impact moves — that's synced to specific music. Modifications shown for all fitness levels. Introducing Music-Led Interval Training. With most workout programs, music is an afterthought. The music in STRONG by Zumba™ was crafted to drive the intensity in a challenging progression that provides a total body workout. The result? A group fitness experience like no other.

PIYO® Live: This is not your Average Resistance Class! Relax & Stretch? No Thanks; I’m a cardio Junky! Don’t worry… PiYo Live is all about strength training and core conditioning for people who want to sweat their way to sculpted abdominals, increased core strength and greater stability!! This class is set to great music as well and incorporates aspects of yoga and Pilates (45-50 min class).

Tabata Plus Fitness: This intense Group Exercise class utilizes the Tabata Fitness Protocol of 20 seconds work- followed by 10 seconds rest – repeated 8 times for 1 specific exercise. This 2:1 work | rest ratio increases metabolism and fitness level in a short amount of  time. This workout will keep your heart pumping and your body fit. Cardio sets will be blended with strength training sets as well. This class is for all levels of fitness. 

Lunchtime Weights: This powerful 45 minute, lunch time workout focuses on all major muscle groups by utilizing the best strength training exercises such as lifts, squats, curls and presses to name just a few. All this, to upbeat, toe tapping music and an experienced, motivational instructor too. This is your workout and you select your weights to get the desired results! All levels welcome.

Bag Boxing: (Bag Boxing, Cardio and Weights) - Come learn to train like Rocky, move like a butterfly and sting like a bee - this energetic, upbeat Group Exercise class that is sure to get your body moving. A great workout for all levels of fitness enthusiasts, this class combines bag boxing, rope skipping and other cardiovascular training and strength exercises too! All for a superior total body workout.

Tabata BootcampTM: There's a reason High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is HOT, and Tabata Bootcamp™ is the new hit! For years, we've been focusing on calories burned during exercise, but new research reveals that we should focus on what happens AFTER exercise is over. It engages the athlete in all modalities of fitness: strength, speed, power, flexibility, stability, etc. This program is metabolic training at its best. BODYSHRED™ techniques are scientifically proven to maximize calorie burn during and post workout, accelerated afterburn is the goal. (30 min class)

R.I.P.P.E.D The One Stop Body Shock™: This a “Plateau Proof Fitness Formula” that helps you to create continuity, consistency and challenge in each and every R.I.P.P.E.D. class. It is Plateau Proof, because each component of the workout provides a uniquely different emphasis or system response, so your body never gets accustomed to the constantly changing format. Thus, regular R.I.P.P.E.D. participants achieve undeniable, ultimate results in minimal time, boasting 750-1000 calories burned in just 50 minutes.
