A picture that shows the roadway paving operations from the evening of October 24.th.

The City of Faribault and its project partners intend to send out and publish a weekly construction update on the Trunk Highway 60/4th Street NW Reconstruction Project. To receive the newsletter, see instructions at the bottom of this post.

Previous Week Review  10/26/19 - 11/1/19

Work this past week saw all of the bituminous paving completed and most of the concrete work including sidewalks and driveways is also completed. Crews continue to work on the street lighting and last signal system at the intersection of 8th Avenue NW as well.

Next Week Look Ahead 11/2/2019-11/8/2019

Due to the recent weather and forecast temperatures in the coming days/weeks, the construction crews have decided to place temporary striping for the winter. This striping is scheduled to be complete on Monday, November 4th. Crews will also continue to work on finishing the remaining concrete sidewalk work and setting street lights and the signal system at 8th Avenue NW.

General Traffic Control/Detour Notes

The entire roadway will be open to thru traffic starting tonight, Friday November 1st. The detour, however; will remain posted until the roadway is striped and the intersection work at 8th Avenue is completed. The intersection of 8th Avenue NW will be opened under a temporary four-way stop condition until such time that the signal system is installed and functioning. Note, there will be times next week that the intersection of 8th Avenue NW and TH 60/4th Street NW will be closed to facilitate the remaining work. There will also be partial lane closures in the coming weeks to facilitate the installation of the remaining street lights and signal system components. Please travel safely through the project area and continue to obey all traffic & construction related signage.
