Faribault Parks and Recreation Director Paul Peanasky was awarded on Friday, Jan. 13, with the highest professional award given by the Minnesota Recreation and Parks Association.

The Clifton E. French award, which he received in front of colleagues, friends and family, recognizes individuals with 20 years of professional experience who have provided long and outstanding service to the parks and recreation field and to the MRPA.  MRPA is a professional membership association serving nearly 900 members statewide.

Faribault Aquatics Supervisor Kevin O’Brien, who also received an Award of Merit for his service and commitment to the MRPA Aquatics Network, nominated Peanasky.
