  1. Buckham Book Bingo Adult Reading Rewards Program Kick-Off-with-Coffee

    January 2, 2019, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    The library is offering a brand new Adult Reading Rewards Program in 2019. Adult readers (ages 16 and older) may register at the library beginning Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Kickoff-With-Coffee-Day. This winter program runs 13 weeks through Saturday, March 30, 2019, and readers may register anytime during this period to participate in the program. Participants will receive a free Buckham Book Bingo Reading and Activity card, Faribault Caribou Coffee BOGO coupon, and Buckham Book Bingo bookmark at the time of registration. Registered participants will automatically be entered into weekly prize drawings and two grand prize drawings at the end of March. Reading is not required for this part of the program! Readers who go on to complete reading challenges on the Bingo card may choose small prizes from the prize basket for each finished row Buckham Book Bingo, a retooled version of the former Hot Reads for Cold Nights program, is sponsored by the Friends of Buckham Memorial Librar

  2. Boomerang Bags Sewing Bees

    Do you love to sew or would you like to learn to sew? We need your help! Come to a Boomerang Bags Sewing Bee and help us create cloth tote bags for our community's Boomerang Bags initiative! Boomerang Bags is a grassroots, community-driven movement tackling plastic pollution at its source. Volunteers from all walks of life get together to make reusable ‘boomerang bags’ using recycled materials, as a means to provide a sustainable alternative to plastic bags. Seamsters under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult sewing companion. No registration required. Come and sew!
