Pop-up Performance and Workshop with jeremy messersmith at Buckham Memorial Library

Talented musician Jeremy messersmith will be performing a pop-up ukulele concert highlighting songs from his Ukulele Songbook. After the concert, jeremy will be offering a ukulele workshop.
This activity is made possible through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, presenting partner Shattuck-St. Mary's and hosting partner Buckham Memorial Library.
Born in Charleston, SC and raised in rural Washington, singer-songwriter jeremy messersmith began playing music in church at a young age. He has become one of Minnesota’s most recognized and celebrated artists receiving praise from The New York Times, NPR, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, Rolling Stone and others. He appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman and his songs are often featured on television and film. jeremy has toured extensively throughout the world - even opening for Barack Obama.

STORYTIME is intended for children ages birth - 6 years old with an actively participating adult caregiver. Storytime takes place in the children's area of the library on Tuesdays at 6:30pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:30am
Join us in the children's area at the library for stories, songs, and fun! Storytime encourages language development and fosters a love of books and a lifetime of learning. Parents and caregivers will learn about early literacy and get tips on how to help their child become ready to read. Siblings and guests are always welcome.
Storytimes for 2019 begin on January 8 and continue through April 25. After a break, storytime will resume for the summer in June.
