    Introductory information about ukuleles and playing ukulele. The library has ukuleles to try out in the Makerspace. In addition, the ukuleles downstairs may be checked out with a library card for three weeks. Uke Can Make Music sessions cover resources available for you to teach yourself how to choose and play a ukulele and also teach a few basics to those new to ukulele. (Tuning, holding, strumming and a few chords.) You can also drop in during a session to ask questions to increase your ukulele knowledge and skills.

  1. Summer Storytime

    STORYTIME Tuesdays at 6:30pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:30am Join us at the library for stories, songs, and fun! Storytime is intended for ages 0-6 with an actively participating adult caregiver. Storytime encourages language development, teaches early literacy skills, and fosters a love of books and a lifetime of learning. No registration is required. Siblings and guests are always welcome. Storytime begins on June 4 and continues through August 8. (Please note: there is no storytime on August 6.) Storytime will resume with the fall session on September 10.

  2. Book Buds

    Book Buds is an informal reading buddies program for youth that pairs younger kids (elementary grades) with older kids (middle & high school grades) for one-on-one reading. Younger kids can read to or be read to by older kids or the pair can take turns sharing a book together. This program is meant to be a fun, no pressure way for youth to build a passion for reading for the fun of it.
