  1. Birdwatching in Minnesota - virtual program

    February 17, 2021, 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM @ Online - Zoom

Join the library on Zoom on Wednesday, February 17 at 4:30 p.m. for a presentation about bird watching in Minnesota. In this virtual bird talk presented by Amy Simso Dean, you’ll learn how easy it is to get started or to get better at birdwatching (aka birding). You’ll also learn how to identify local birds, how to set up a bird feeding station, and you’ll hear about easy community science projects you can do that help support bird conservation - some as easy as just watching birds. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions. Open to bird lovers of all ages, but registration is required. Email or call 507-334-2089 to reserve your spot no later than Tuesday, February 16. An email address is required so we can send you the Zoom meeting information. Amy Simso Dean has been birding for over 25 years. She is vice chair of Audubon Chapter of Minneapolis. She also works part time at The Raptor Center and founded an after school birdwatching club for

  1. Storytime Share & Tell on Zoom

    February 17, 2021, 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM @ Online - ZOOM

**REGISTRATION REQUIRED! SPACE IS LIMITED!** This is an opportunity for regular and new storytime families to connect with Ms. Deni. We'll have time at the beginning to say hello and share about what's going on in our lives and then Ms. Deni will read a story or two and perhaps we'll even sing a song or do a rhyme. Storytime Share & Tell is intended for ages birth to 6 with an actively participating adult caregiver. You must register in advance. Space is limited to 10 participants. If there is a big enough demand, I will add a Thursday event. To receive the Zoom meeting invitation and log-in information, you must send an email Ms. Deni: with the name and age of your child/children. Please do this no later than 9am on the morning of the zoom storytime. I will not be posting the meeting link, ID, or password publicly in order to avoid "zoombombers."
